Ordinary flat welding flanges are suitable for medium and low pressure PN2.5 and below; Butt welding, commonly known as large tail flange, is suitable for connecting high temperature and high pressure pipelines with PN4.0 and higher versions. There are butt welding flanges, butt concave flanges, and butt convex flanges, among which the male and female flanges improve the sealing of the connecting flanges. There are also threaded connection flanges. The connection method between flanges and pipelines is threaded connection, usually used for low-pressure non corrosive fluids.
Flat welded flanges are widely used in industrial pipelines. At home, the diameter of the pipeline is small and the pressure is low, and the flange connection is not visible. If there are flange connected pipes everywhere in the boiler room or production site, their necks are flat welding flanges, such as plate flat welding flanges, steel pipes, pipe fittings, etc. that extend into the flange and are connected to equipment or pipelines through fillet welding.
Advantages and disadvantages of neck flat welding flange:
Advantages: Flat welded flanges with necks are also flat welded flanges because their necks are short, which increases the strength and load-bearing capacity of the flanges. Therefore, it can be used in high-pressure pipelines.
Disadvantages: The cost is higher than that of flat welded flanges, and due to their shape, they are prone to collisions during transportation.
